Cantina de Mad Mex was a Baja-styled Mexican restaurant and bar in Queensland, conceived around the relaxed energy of the Californian coastline with a distinct Mexican edge.

The identity drew on the vivid buildings and hand-painted signage of Mexico City. A palette of soft pastels anchored by a bright red gives the brand warmth and personality without losing the sun-bleached, unhurried quality of the Baja California coast. Retro-influenced imagery from Mexico and coastal California completed the visual world.

The result was an identity with a strong sense of place and atmosphere.
