I am a Melbourne-based brand direction consultant and founder of Sonvera®.

I work across brand direction and identity, helping organisations get the thinking right and express it well.

Over more than 18 years I have worked in-house and in agency settings across New Zealand, London, and Australia. That experience gave me an understanding of both internal stakeholder environments and external brand delivery that I draw on in every engagement.

My work has spanned brand identity, campaigns, exhibitions, and visual communication. That includes exhibition and interpretation design for the Natural History Museum London, including Sexual Nature, which won Best Temporary/Touring Exhibition, and Mind the Map at the London Transport Museum. Over time I became more interested in the decisions behind the work. Helping organisations clarify what they stand for, how they are positioned, and how that thinking should show up consistently. That is where I now focus.

After nearly a decade in London I relocated to Melbourne and worked in-house at Origin Energy, stepping into the role of Design Director. Following that I established an independent design practice working with organisations across brand identity and communication.

In 2025 I founded Sonvera®, a brand studio focused on building brands that ring true.

Alongside brand work, I have a long-standing interest in interiors and spatial design, particularly where brand and environment intersect.

I have partnered with organisations including Origin Energy, Development Victoria, the British Library, London Transport Museum, Life Without Barriers, and Bupa.

Design should reflect clear decisions, not replace them.
